Spring Summer Weather

Undercover SS 2010 “Less Is Better” via Zozo.

That, or it’s just me, feeling incredibly feverish. Nonetheless, summer is one of those things that’s going to rear it’s head up whether we like it or not. Much as I’d like to cling onto the lingering cold nights, left over from December, I’m starting to notice that it’s starting to give way to more sun and warmer days.

This was about the time last year, where I started cursing my wardrobe. Funny, and I’m sure I’m not alone in this boat in saying this, but for a tropical country, a majority of us dress like we’re geared up for a cold day in winter. There has to be at least a little humorous irony in that.

With the stage set, it’s that kind of predicament that makes the next couple of months an always interesting time. Not just concerning the fashion scene in general, but with anyone who has an inclination to dress. How people tackle heat to the level of dress or undress to be employed make for a relatively crazy time.

I’ve no idea, or even have any semblance of how I’ll look the next couple of months, to be honest. Browsing through the internet in a medicated daze, I’m stumbled upon Zozo’s Undercover’s SS 2010 collection release, and I’m thinking, this might be an easy start.

Cropped pants, and low tops. Lengthier proportions, and maybe that short and legging slash skort thing. I’m actually liking Jun Takahashi’s not so androgynous execution of it that has me left wondering if I should try and have a go. Much as I’d like to approach this sort of styling with at least one Undercover garment in hand, there’s always that pitfall of Japanese brands, having Japanese prices.

For those interested though I’ll have the links for the sight towards the bottom. It’s been indeed a new year, wearing things, exploring aesthetics that I wouldn’t have thought of before. It’s already interesting seeing people grow into their own styles, and going into summer, I’ll be surprised if we’ll even be able to recognize ourselves when we come out.

For more things Undercover you can view and purchase
the Zozo buys from here. As a bonus, they’ve also upped
the Pitti Uomo runway show here. Enjoy.
